2D1N itinerary for Mt. Marami
Guimaras Island was the last item in our Iloilo trip. Just like Isla de Gigantes, it is known for its beautiful white sand beaches which are very appealing to foreign and domestic tourists alike. But Guimaras is more famous for their mangoes. Branded as the sweetest in the world, they have become the island’s most important product and play a major role in the island’s tourism. As for us, we only wanted to try their famous Mango Pizza which is served at Pitstop.
Isla de Gigantes is a must-visit destination when in Iloilo. We got to visit the beaches and islands around it such as Cabugao Island, the Lighthouse, Antonia Beach, Bantigue Sandbar, the lagoon, and Pulo Pandan.
Bucari is situated in the mountains of Leon, Iloilo, an hour away from the city. It is known as the ‘little Baguio’ for its cool climate and views. Initially, we planned to hike Mt. Agua Colonia but as it’s just relatively newly opened to the public, we were unsure of our itinerary. All I knew was that we needed to get to Leon.
The best thing to do in Coron? Diving, of course! We just couldn’t pass up the opportunity since Coron has the best diving spots in the Philippines. Read about our adventure at CYC beach and skeleton wreck. 🙂
